Meet Magda
My screen name is Magda (Magdalena) and my e-mail address is magdalena_zevallos@...com. Though I am very interested in blogging as a tool for language learning, I am primarily interested in Yahoo IM. I use it all the time. For example, yesterday I was talking to my brother Gabriel who lives in Ecuador. I used to keep in touch with my 89-year-old mother via Yahoo IM until one of her grandchildren walked away with the laptop and webcam I had bought for her. :( I will try to upload my picture and some other information this afternoon. I teach at a public university and have been exploring CMC and language learning for the past two years. Magdda

When I head the story of your mother whose computer was taken away, well - this makes me feel SO angry! Did you consider using Skype OUt, this a a cheap telephone call, you can calll from your PC to an ordinary analog phone and pay a small amount in advance for this service, it costs only little per minute for international calls compared to usual phone costs!
